FCI/KKF Judge's Education

On January 22, 2021, the Korea Kennel Federation completed the Judge's Education powerpoint on the Korea Jindo Dog.

The author was the FCI All Breed Judge Mr. Woong Jong Lee, who is also the Chairman of the KKF Breed Standard Committee.

The KJAA obtained a copy of the Judge's Education powerpoint from a KKF representative.

The following is the original powerpoint in Korean.  Due to webhost file size constraints, the powerpoint file was broken into three downloads.

Volunteers in the United States translated the Judge's Education powerpoint into English.  This translation was offered as a service to worldwide fanciers of the Korea Jindo Dog, who have been long-seeking to increase their knowledge of the breed.

The following is the powerpoint with both Korean and English on the slides.   The original Korean was kept, in order to offer a second translation check to those who are fluent in Korean.   Please note the following:
  • Romanization of the Jindo dogs' names was deliberately spaced out to encourage correct pronunciation of the dog names.   Normal Romanization rules would not do this.
  • The comparative photo gallery is headed with the abbreviations EX, E, V, and G.   Their meanings are as follows:
    • EX = Best Excellent
    • E = Excellent
    • V = Very Good
    • G = Good
  • It was noticed that in some sections, the old FCI Jindo standard was referenced instead of the current FCI Jindo standard.  When observed, the old FCI standard was crossed-out instead of deleted.
