Any guest viewer of the database may do simple searches for dogs and see general information fields, including Wright’s Coefficient of Inbreeding (COI).  

An account, which is free of charge, is required in order to access additional fields and tools.   There are two account types with different levels of privileges:


User Account:  Able to add/edit dogs.  Able to see all fields.  Able to do Advanced Searches.   


Club Member Account:   Has all the privileges of an User Account as well as access to Trial Matings and Common Ancestor Searches.   Club Members are able to create a Breeder Profile, which allows advertisement of studs and litters.

]]><![CDATA[AKC Breed Name Changed to "Korean Jindo Dog"]]>Wed, 07 Feb 2024 04:13:23 GMThttp://www.jindos.org/announcements/akc-breed-name-changed-to-korean-jindo-dogOn January 12, 2024, the AKC agreed to changed the name of the breed from "Jindo" to "Korean Jindo Dog."   This is a more accurate translation and better matches the English name picked by the country of origin. 

On Feb. 3, 2024, the KJAA conducted a special meeting to vote on changing the name of the club to match the breed name, and the membership agreed to the club name change.   Henceforth, the club will be known as Korean Jindo Dog Association of America.  

In the following months, the name change will be rolled out on this website, social media, and other educational materials.

Family Outreach Membership is open to two persons eighteen (18) years of age or older who reside in the same household and their minor children who are interested in the breed, in further advancing their knowledge of dogs and dog sports, and subscribe to the purposes of KJAA.  This type of membership pays full dues and offers all KJAA benefits and participation.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, however, Family Outreach Members may not vote.  $25


The By-Laws will be revised to reflect this new membership option.

The first litter at Kkeokjin Jindo was born on November 29, 2022.   A red boy and wolf-grey girl were born out of DaeHo x SunMi.

]]><![CDATA[Planned 2018 Litter]]>Tue, 08 May 2018 01:41:51 GMThttp://www.jindos.org/announcements/planned-2018-litterYooShin kennels is planning a breeding of HoSoon with a male stud dog named DaeBak who is owned by the active show kennel Noryeong Sanmaek in South Korea. The breeding is expected in late June. If all goes well, the puppies will be born in late August and will go to their homes at 8 weeks of age at the earliest.

DaeBak was chosen for his very nice head type, his unrelated bloodlines, and what he has produced in his offsprings in Korea. Pups are expected to be either red or brindle, with a small chance of white.

If interested in this litter, please fill out the online application at yooshinkennels.com.  Preference will be given to homes who are willing to participate in a breeding program as this may be HoSoon's one and only litter.
